“Precision is my profession”
The key to every illusion is the details. In much the same way beautiful dialogue or richly decorated sets can define a piece of media, strong choreography elevates a performance into something truly natural. A well-designed stunt blends perfectly into the background, making the scene feel that much more real to the audience.
For more than 12 years, Garett has dedicated himself to the art of stunt combat; first as a student, then as an instructor and choreographer. Over the years, he’s steadily expanded his repertoire to include dozens of melee weapons, firearms, unarmed, and improvised weapons. He’s fought with everything from tridents and nunchaku to pistols and folding chairs.
Garett regularly volunteers his time consulting on student films, helping rising filmmakers safely and accurately realize their creative visions. He also offers private and group stunt classes, and professional consultations.
He says it’s to preserve a vibrant tradition of performative art, but we suspect he just likes playing with the props.
